Birdie Thank You Card

Hello, everyone!

It's Nancy back today with a new digital project share!

Spring is just around the corner!
In honour of that, I had to share this wonderful card file with you!

This is the Birdie Thank You Card.

Isn't that adorable?
It's so much fun to put together!
Not only does it make a fabulous card, all put together like this,
but there are so many elements to take out and use on other projects.
The layered labels are wonderful for stamping and decorating.
The scrolled branch would be so pretty on other cards or on layouts.
Also, the "Thank You" could be used in so many other ways!

I opted to make my card base from printed paper.
Then I just adhered everything else in place in a pleasing manner.
I added a little piece of red cardstock on the back of the birdhouse,
so that the heart would show red.
Then I used foam tape to adhere the birdhouse on the top of the scrolled branch.
Everything else was adhered in place flat.

Butterfly Heart Card

Hello, everyone!

It's Nancy here today! I'm sharing this beautiful Butterfly Heart Card file,
that you can find in the Silhouette Design Store right HERE.

Here's the card I made using this file:

Isn't that pretty?
The file includes three pieces: the card base, the heart doily, and the butterfly.

I cut my card base out of blue cardstock, and opted to use it tent-fold fashion.
I cut the heart doily out of a pretty yellow. It's such an intricate design but cut beautifully!
Then I cut the butterfly out of the same blue cardstock.

I adhered my heart doily to the center of the card base.
I folded up the wings of the blue butterfly before adhering the body only to butterfly outline on the heart doily.

Then I used my Stickles and added a pretty outline of glitter all around the butterfly,
as well as the heart.
I also added a row of pearls to form the butterfly body.

Finally, I added several more pearls to the card base!
This is such an elegant card that could be made in endless colour combinations.
It's also a fabulous file to use some specialty papers, such a foil and vellum!
Again, the creative possibilities are endless! :o)

Thanks so much for stopping in today! I'll be back soon with another fun project!

Hippity Hoppity Easter basket and cards

Hi everyone and it's so nice to see you again on the Quietfire digital blog.  Today i have a few fun projects that i made up with the new Quietfire Bunnyville digital papers, tags and washi tapes.  I printed up lots of these pretty designs and had a blast making up some pretty things to give away for Easter this year.  Grab a cup of tea and join me for a quick tutorial.

For my projects i printed up 1 page of each of the scrapbook paper prints on my 8 1/2 x 11 printer. The papers will be slightly smaller and have a white border around them.  I also found that when you print them you can also change the scale of the print and make it smaller and print a 6x6 size.  You will have to play with your printer but this is an amazing find because you can also have all those adorable little prints just for smaller things and for cards.  I was so excited to find this little trick.

To make the baskets i cut a strip of the Washi tape to make the top border.  Then i cut 5 strips of paper that were 3/4 inch by 10 inches.  I glued them side by side at the bottom edge of the border strip and then repeated the bottom edge of the strip again criss crossing the papers to make the basket weave.

Then i glued it together at the ends to make a circle with strong double sided adhesive or you can hot glue gun it too.  The handle is another small strip of the dotted paper or you can even use some of the Washi borders.  I added lots of easter grass and white satin bows to the sides and it's all ready to stuff with lots of easter treats to give away.

The bunny card is made with the bunny print from the Scrapbook papers and i also reprinted the stripe in a 6x6 size to go under the Washi tape border.  You can also die cut your own flowers from the paper and then you really have a fun piece of art to give away.  Perfectly matched and you can make them for everyone... i really love that.

And for my second card i shrunk down the paper again on the zig zag print to a 6x6 size and added a little strip of the Washi paper across the front and a pretty flower and a ribbon to match.  The backround print is a tiny green dot.  My favorite thing about the papers is that the colors go perfect together and you can print another piece if you mess up.  So go ahead and have fun and let yourself be creative.  You never know what you might come up with.

Thanks so much for stopping by to get a few more digital ideas and be sure and stop by the digital store for the Washi tapes and tags too.

                                                         Have a wonderful day!! Teresa

It's your lucky day...

Welcome to the digital blog and thank you for stopping by to view my first post here.  It's Teresa here using the new "Lucky Shamrock digital paper" set today and wow was it ever fun to use.  My favorite part about using digital papers is that you can print as much as you need at home without having to go to a store.  And-- if you mess up you can just print another piece right there and then-- so I am totally for that.  I made 3 really quick cards with the sets and I hope that you can do a few quick tonight and pass them out tomorrow with a few chocolates for friends and family....

The best part about each of these card is that they only took about 10 mins or less to make.  The Washi strips are my favorite because they have all these adorable designs on the sheet and they are the perfect size for cards.  I also used the new tag set that goes with it.  These are on a tiny sheet of paper that you can easily cut apart to decorate your cards!!   How fun is that :)

For this card i used a piece of green glitter paper for the base of my card that i had in my stash and added 3 pieces of the Washi tape over the striped paper from the digital file.  It was super easy and to finish it i just added a bow from some ribbons i had in my stash.

Here is a closeup of the pretty designs in the papers...

And lastly i made this card with strips of paper that i cut from the digital paper file and tied it with a simple piece of jute.  I also found this huge shamrock and it matched perfect so i added that on the top of the papers with a 3D Foam Square and a pretty gold rhinestone for luck.

Simple, easy and you can make them up in less than an hour!

Thanks so much for stopping by and Happy St. Patrick's Day to all of you!
