Easy Christmas Cards with the Twiggy Wreath Monogram Font

Hello, Connie Nichol here today with two Christmas cards I created using the Twiggy Wreath Monogram font designed by Suzanne Cannon and available in the Silhouette Design store.  Super easy and super quick!!

Just print the word Joy onto cardstock and embellish with pens and fine glitter glue to add colour and texture.  Mat on one or more layers of cardstock, put onto a card base and you're done.  Try printing with or on different colours.  White cardstock is handy but I think the kraft looks kind of classy.  Wasn't that easy?   Merry Christmas!!

Supplies Used:  cardstock, Twiggy Wreath Monogram font, Sakura gel pens, Rangers Stickles glitter glue, Close to My Heart embossing folder, cheesecloth.

Christmas in July - Cardinal Christmas Cards

Hello, Connie Nichol here with a couple of Christmas cards I created with Suzanne Cannon's Cardinal Christmas cut file available in the Silhouette Design Store.   There's nothing like making Christmas cards in the middle of summer - it's actually pretty fun!

The cut file is so beautiful it doesn't need a lot of embellishments and is very quick to cut and create.  Try cutting the bird and the backgrounds out of different colours of cardstock.  I made 6 x 6" cards, but the cardinal also fits on a 5 x 7 card base.  This yellow bird reminds me of a goldfinch and it makes a nice change from traditional Christmas colours.  I added 'berries' with Ranger Enamel Accents, but you could glue on a few beads or embellish the branches with a little bit of glitter glue.

Here's the Christmas Cardinal cut out of more traditional colours.  He is very striking.  I am not sure which bird I like best.  Do you have a favourite?, I am going to remember this cut file for when I need a beautiful bird to accent a scrapbook layout.  It would make an awesome blue bird!  Have a great July, Connie

Holly and Berry Wreath Christmas Card

Hi, Connie Nichol here today with a very easy Christmas card using the Holly and Berry Wreath cut file designed by Suzanne Cannon and available in the Silhouette store here.

I recently went on a scrapbook weekend retreat with some of my pals, and this was my first project.  Honestly, it took about five minutes.  Once you've got an electronic cutting machine and a good cut file, life gets so easy.  I simply cut leaves, twigs and berries out of three colours of cardstock, and arranged it around a stamped sentiment.  Isn't this stamp pretty? It's a new stamp from Quietfire Design in the shape of a Christmas tree, and the little circles can be embellished with gems, or little dabs of sparkly glitter glue.  I also think the wreath would look very pretty with a few red gems or glitter, but I had absolutely bare bone supplies at the weekend retreat and didn't have anything sparkly in my stash.  Sigh.  Oh well, it shows you what you can do with just cardstock - still very pretty!  My friends were oohing and aahing.

Thanks for stopping by and maybe Santa will bring you some scrapbook supplies for Christmas.  Merry Christmas!
